The ancient truth is that we become what we pretend to be.  Wouldn't it be awesome if we pretended to be the perfection of that for which we were created?  As a creation of the perfect Father we are perfect in our Be-ing.  His truth of us is what we are.  Seeing through the lens of the Father allows us to see ourselves in truth.  Jesus tells us to be perfect (ed) as He is perfect--reminding us to see who we are created to be--for we are created in the very image of God; reminding us to embrace who we are,  be who we are, who at some level we know ourselves to be.  To do this we must  let go of the untruths of who we have created ourselves to be.
